At the EOI entrance hall we have had the possibility to see an exhibition in 15 panels on how to prevent polluting our planet.

I saw panel number 9 which it is about growth limits.

 Currently we waste our natural resources inefficiently, and selfishly. If we became aware of this situation, we would be able to stop it, and it could make a big difference, because the more amount of resources we use, the more waste we produce. We do it because we suffer from anxiety.

The panel shows an example of how we distribute food, it travels more than 4000Km from its origin to our tables. We import products that we produce in our country, because companies sell them abroad.

Another idea that the panel points at, is that CO2 emissions are also caused by our agriculture industry. It uses fertilizers and pesticides which are made of petroleum.

In addition, our means of transport use oil to work, and instead of using our private car, we can use public transport, bicycle, or why not, electric car. The last option is developing, and nowadays, we can´t use it for long journeys, but in the future it can be a solution.

Besides, we have another option, vegetable fuel, but if we use it, we couldn´t have enough food to feed the world. We must refuse that idea, and look for other solutions, because our duty is to protect the environment.

To sum up, we have to think carefully about our resources and how we use them, because we are killing the planet. We are not aware of the threat of climate change, we are only seeing the beginning, but the results are catastrophic.
